This small oblong plot is softened and broadened with circles, diagonals and cottage-style planting.

Terracotta paving warms up the darker area close to the house, leading to a circular seating area.  A short diagonal path leads to the lawn, the two circles being linked by a lavender hedge on one side, scenting the air, and a low box hedge on the other.

Planted willow obelisks create height at intervals through the abundantly planted, cottage-style borders, whilst further climbers on trellis panels screen the shed and compost bin.
